car By Car: From San Salvador, take the highway RN-5S toward the airport. Then take the coastal highway (CA-2E) east toward San Luis La Herradura. Before reaching San Luis La Herradura, take RN-4E toward Costa del Sol and continue until the end of the highway which is known as La Puntilla. Here you will take the boat to Isla Tasajera.

bus By Bus: Take route 495 from the southern terminal in San Salvador. This will take you directly to La Puntilla where you will take the boat to Isla Tasajera.
