Then you'll continue on through the narrow mangrove channels of the Jaltepeque Estuary, until you reach the impressive Rio Lempa delta, the largest delta in the country! Take some photos, relax, or try your hand at some fishing!

car By Car: From San Salvador, take the highway RN-5S toward the airport. Then take the coastal highway (CA-2E) east toward San Luis La Herradura. Before reaching San Luis La Herradura, take RN-4E toward Costa del Sol and continue until the end of the highway which is known as La Puntilla. Here you will take the boat to Isla Tasajera.

bus By Bus: Take route 495 from the southern terminal in San Salvador. This will take you directly to La Puntilla where you will take the boat to Isla Tasajera.
