This hike starts in Las Brumas EcoPark, easily one of El Salvador’s best spots to get up close and personal with the volcanoes. This coffee cooperative turned ecotourism destination is located right in the middle of the three most iconic volcanoes in the country: Izalco, Ilamatepec (or locally known as Santa Ana) and Cerro Verde. In this adventure, you’ll start out by hiking through the cool, dense cloud forests of the park to the rocky base of Izalco Volcano. Rest here for a bit and then get ready to trek to the summit! After enjoying the perfect peak, the moon like crater and the panoramic views, you’ll head back down through the cloud forests to the EcoPark for lunch.

	By Car: Take the highway from San Salvador toward Sonsonate. At the turn to Cerro Verde, take a right at the Esso gas station. Follow this road straight for 25-30 min., until reaching an intersection with several large signs, pointing to Cerro Verde. On the right side there is a rocky road going uphill, this is the entrance to Las Brumas. There is a sign that says “Casa de Cristal”.
	By Bus: Take the 201 or 202 bus from the western terminal in San Salvador. Then take the 248 bus at the El Congo intersection.  Get off at Cerro Verde and follow the signs to Casa de Cristal.
